Abstract

The significance of innovative work behavior has been clearly established in the literature on human resources and organizational management, especially in the Chinese information and communication technology (ICT) sector. Based on self-determination theory and social exchange theory, this study developed a research model to examine career calling, distributive justice, procedural justice, interactional justice, and talent policy; work engagement was also included as a mediating variable. In addition, authentic leadership was included as a moderator due to its ability to strengthen the relationship between work engagement and innovative behavior. Employing a quantitative research methodology, this study utilizes structural equation modeling (SEM) and Smart PLS 4.0 to conduct the data analysis.
