Abstract
The aim of the current study is to investigate how economic, physical, and social factors affect a person's sense of belonging and neighbourhood attachment. Understanding the people' level of neighbourhood attachment is the first objective. Other objectives of this study include examining the relationship between neighbourhood attachment and economic, physical, and social factors and the mediating role that sense of belonging plays in this relationship, particularly for residents of Penang Island.
