Metabolic Pathway Reconstruction Of Hevea Brasiliensis.
Masters thesis, Universiti Sains Malaysia.
Abstract
Hevea brasiliensis is a latex-producing woody plant. This plant has been studied for more than one decade. However, its metabolic pathways are still not well established.
This project is about reconstruction of the metabolic pathways and manual construction of pathways related to latex production. The pathways were reconstructed and validated based on genomic and transcriptomic data. This thesis will discuss about the metabolic pathways reconstructed as well as the manually curated pathways and networks of H. brasiliensis related to latex production. Fifty gaps were manually closed in 65 reconstructed metabolic pathways. This thesis included 15 reconstructed metabolic pathways, 4 manually curated pathways, and 2
manually curated networks.
