Abstract
The present study investigated the effect of exogenous administration of hydrogen sulphide (H2S) donor, sodium hydrosulphide (NaHS) on the concentration of nuclear factor kappa-B (NF-kB) and inter cellular adhesion molecule-1 (ICAM-1) in renal ischemia reperfusion injury in normotensive Wistar Kyoto (WKY) non-renal failure (NRF) and renal failure (RF) rats as well as L-nitro-arginine-methyl-ester (L-NAME) induced hypertensive NRF and RF rats.
