Abstract

Norovirus, ahli datam famili Caliciviridae iaitu virus daripada RNA bebenang tunggal positif telah dikenalpasti menghasilkan spesis RNA subgenomik semasa replikasi aktif virus berkenaan dalam sel yang dijangkiti.Walaubagaimanapun, mekanisma bagi sintesis RNA subgenomik bagi virus ini masih belum dicirikan sepenuhnya. Kaiian yang lepas melibatkan murine norovirus (MNV) telah menemui struktur RNA 'stem-loop' yang konsisten pada bebenang negatif RNA genom virus yang bereplikasi, iaitu pada bahagian yang mengekod enzim 'RNA-dependent RNA polymerase'.
