Abstract
Sifat-sifat pematangan, mekanik, kelakuan pembengkakan dan kajian morfologi
getah asli (SMR L) dan getah asli terepoksida (ENR 50) terisi kaolin telah dikaji.
Kesan pembebanan kaolin dan silika komersil (Vulkasil C), pelbagai saiz kaolin
dan penggunaan agen pengkupel silana, Si 69 serta additif asid lemak minyak
kelapa sawit (POFA) di dalam sebatian getah SMR L juga telah dikaji.
Keputusan kajian menunjukkan yang sebatian getah SMR L terisi kaolin
menunju~kan sifat-$ifat mekanik yang lebih baik tetapi masa skorj dan masa _. .... - .
pematangan yang lebih panjang berbanding sebatian getah EN R . 50 terisi
kaolin.
Curing characteristics, mechanical properties, swelling behaviour and
morphology of kaolin filled natural rubber (SMR L) and epoxidized natural
rubber (ENR 50) compounds were studied. The effects of kaolin and
commercial silica (Vutkasil C) loading, differen~ size of kaolin and the use of
silane coupling agent, Si 69 and palm oil fatty acid additive (POFA) in SMR.L
compounds were also examined. Results show that kaolin filled SMR L
compounds exhibit better mechanical properties but longer scorch and curing
times than kaolin filled ENR 50 compounds.
