Abstract

Belas kasihan terhadap diri melibatkan bersikap baik hati terhadap diri sendiri, bersikap terbuka terhadap penderitaan, kegagalan dan ketidaksempurnaan sendiri (dengan menganggapnya sebagai satu pengalaman yang dikongsi oleh semua manusia di dunia ini), dan melihat aspek-aspek negatif kehidupan ini dalam perspektif yang lebih seimbang. Self-compassion involves being kind to oneself, being opened to one’s suffering, nonfulfillment and imperfection (by treating them as common human experiences), and viewing these negative aspects of life in a more balanced perspective.
