Abstract

Wayang Kulit Gedek merupakan sebuah teater tradisional yang berasaskan bayang. Bayangan yang terhasil setelah cahaya dipancarkan ke atas figurafigura kulit yang diukir mengikut kehendak penceritaannya, dan ia terhinggap pada kain putih yang direnggang untuk menampan bayangan tersebut. “Wayang Kulit Gedek” is a form of traditional shadow play. The shadows of the figurines are cast on the screen with the aid of a source of light. “Wayang Kulit Gedek” is only found in the state of Kedah Darul Aman.
