Abstract

Teofilin adalah sejenis bronkodilator yang kerap kali digunakan sebagai rawatan untuk penyakit asma dan halangan pernafasan kronik. Di dalam manusia dewasa, lebih kurang 90% teofilin dimetabolismekan di hati oleh enzim sitokrom P450 (CYP), dan hanya 10% dikumuhkan melalui ginjal dalam bentuk asal. Theophylline is a bronchodilator frequently used in the treatment of asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. In human adults, approximately 90% of theophylline is metabolised in the liver by the cytochrome P450 (CYP) enzymes, and only 10% is excreted via the kidneys in unchanged form.
