Abstract
Sustainability comprises three core dimensions: economic, environmental, and social, collectively known as the Triple Bottom Line. This framework provides a basis for sustainable development and performance evaluation. In Malaysia’s manufacturing sector, sustainability remains a pressing concern due to persistent challenges such as high carbon emissions, pollution and inefficient resource use. Additionally, limited compliance with environmental management systems and the slow adoption of green innovation practices continue to constrain progress toward sustainability. The main objective of this study was to establish the relationship between Green Innovation and sustainable performance using the Triple Bottom Line framework. The Green Innovation in this research included Green Process Innovation, Green Product Innovation, and Innovation Quality. Additionally, the study investigated how Leanness, Innovativeness, and Knowledge Management acted as antecedents to Green Innovation. Furthermore, the research evaluated the moderating impact of Knowledge Flow on the correlation between Knowledge Management and Green Innovation. It also examined how Competitive Intensity moderated the correlation between Green Product Innovation and the Triple Bottom Line.
