Abstract

This study aims to examine the various factors influencing motivation for school absenteeism among secondary school students in Al Ain City. This study investigates the factors affecting motivation for absenteeism among secondary school students in Al Ain City. It examines the impact of school environmental factors, family dynamics, and individual characteristics, including personal resonance, on absenteeism behaviour. Besides, the study analyses the effectiveness of school motivational and interventional programs in addressing and mitigating absenteeism rates. The study is grounded in social learning theory, cognitive theory, and ecosystem theory as its theoretical framework.
