Abstract
As a rapidly growing sector in China's industrial field, industrial design plays a key role in enhancing innovation and global market competitiveness. However, the nature of design work—high-intensity job demands, long working hours, and high cognitive load—has raised growing concerns about the occupational health and well-being of industrial designers. This study explores the occupational stress of industrial designers in Shenzhen, China, and its impact on sleep quality and work-related musculoskeletal disorders (WRMSDs). This study investigated the occupational stress of 411 industrial designers and its impact on sleep quality and work-related musculoskeletal disorders (WRMSDs).
