Abstract

Falls among older adults are a major public health concern due to their severe health consequences. Nevertheless, the specific context of nursing homes in China has received limited research attention. This study addresses gaps by determining the relationships between knowledge and practice on falls prevention(KOFP&POFP) and occurrence of falls among elderly residents in Chinese nursing homes. Methods: A cross-sectional survey was conducted in nursing homes in Jinzhou, Liaoning Province, China. A final sample size of 341 participants was calculated using OpenEpi software (version 3.01).
