Abstract

Cross-border e-commerce (CBEC) payment plays a pivotal role in facilitating international trade and capital flows, serving as the digital payment mechanism between countries or regions. Despite the rapid growth of CBEC as an emerging form of E-commerce, its development remains constrained by inherent challenges. Notably, cross-border payment systems lag behind highly advanced domestic payment infrastructures, struggling to meet the escalating demands of global users. To address this gap, this study investigates consumers' usage intention toward CBEC payments by applying the Value-Based Adoption Model (VAM). The research examines how perceived value—shaped by perceived risk, perceived benefit, and perceived sacrifice—influences users' adoption decisions.
