Abstract
In this knowledge era, personal behavioural perspectives, such as intention to knowledge-sharing behaviour (iksb), should be explored within the context of knowledge-creation environment like higher learning institutions (hlis) by considering the persistence of the behaviour of not sharing knowledge among nonacademic employees. One of the key contributing factors of added competitive advantage lies in the effectiveness and efficiency of iksb. Prior studies empirically demonstrated the lack of attention in iksb among non-academic employees, as compared to that of academic employees. Thus, focusing on hlis in indonesia, the current study assessed iksb among non-academic employees with respect to the extended to theory of planned behaviour (etpb), which was extended with the inclusion of altruism (as a key component of behavioural intention) and trust (as a moderator in the relationship between attitude and iksb). In particular, a selfadministered questionnaire survey, which involved 405 respondents, was conducted in both public and private hlis.
