Abstract
In the era of the knowledge economy, the intelligent industry is emerging as a new direction for economic development and industrial planning in many countries. Enhancing its talent competitiveness plays a vital role in ensuring the sustainable development of the industry. Chongqing is a major central city in China and a key modern manufacturing base, with a GDP and population comparable to those of Malaysia. In recent years, Chongqing has implemented a range of talent development strategies to support the intelligent industry and has made progress in improving talent competitiveness. However, the overall talent competitiveness and talent development strategies of Chongqing's intelligent industry still require further enhancement, highlighting the need for an in-depth investigation. Therefore, this study aims to explore the understanding, components, model and index of talent competitiveness for the intelligent industry and propose talent development strategies for Chongqing's intelligent industry.
