Abstract

This study aims to develop and evaluate the effect of a patterned topical module (topo) on the achievement and attitude of form 4 students towards probability of combined events. This study uses a quasi-experimental research design, namely a pre-test and post-test control group design. A multi-level cluster sampling technique was used to select the sample for this study. This study involves two phases. The first phase involves the topo module development based on the addie model. The study's second phase was conducted on 60 form 4 students in two schools in the districts of larut, matang, and selama (lms). All students were divided into two groups, the control and experimental groups, each consisting of 30 students. Students from the control group were taught the topic of probability of combined events using conventional teaching method. In contrast, students from the experimental group were led through teaching method using patterned topical module (topo).
