Abstract

Diabetes mellitus is one of the worldwide major public health concerns which associated with increased morbidity, mortality, health care utilization and costs. Between 1986 and 1990, the prevalence of diabetes in Yemen was about 4.7%. In 2004 the prevalence of diabetes type II in Yemen was reported at 4.6% which was higher in man (7.4%) compared to female (2%). This study was conducted in Mukalla city, Hadramout, Yemen to assess the impact of continuing education (CE) program on Health Care Professionals (HCPs) knowledge, attitude and practice in Yemen.
