Abstract

This study explores the extension of the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) to the online shopping context. It uses perceived risk and its antecedents (self-efficacy, wealth position and risk-taking propensity), along with trust and its antecedents (shared values, communication and opportunistic behavior), as independent variables influencing the attitude and intention to shop for products and services online.
