Abstract
Masalah pertuturan kanak-kanak autistik mempunyai kaitan dengan sifat lazim
autisme dalam konteks kesukaran berkomunikasi, berinteraksi sosial, dan tingkah
laku. Sifat lazim autisme dapat mempengaruhi kebolehan pertuturan kanak-kanak
autistik dalam proses pembelajaran di dalam bilik darjah. Bagi memprofilkan
pertuturan bahasa Melayu kanak-kanak autistik dalam konteks pembelajaran, kajian
kes kualitatif ini dijalankan selama sepuluh minggu melibatkan enam subjek yang
berusia antara tujuh hingga lapan tahun.
Speech problem among autistic children is related to the common attributes or
characteristics of autism in the context of difficulties in communication, social
interaction, and behavior. Autism’s common characteristics may affect the speech
ability of the autistic children within the learning process in the classroom. To profile
the speech of autistic children in the Malay language within the context of learning
process, this qualitative case study was carried out in ten weeks time, involving six
subjects with the age range between seven to eight year old.
