Abstract
Cakupan kajian ini secara khususnya mengkaji model kurikulum yang diperbaharui oleh Lembaga Pendidikan Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Agama (SMKA) dan Madrasah Aliyah Negeri (MAN) dengan maksud mengenalpasti sistem dualistik dan dikotomi yang masih wujud hingga penghujung abad ini. Objektifpenyelidikan ini adalah: i. Mengkaji ciri-ciri perkembangan Madrasah, "Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Agama (SMKA) dan Madrasah Aliyah Negeri (MAN) sebagai alternatif pembaharuan pendidikan Islam pada abad ke dua puluh. ii. Mengenalpasti perbezaan dan persamaan yang terdapat dalam pembaharuan kurikulum pendidikan Islam yang dilaksanakan di Malaysia dan Indonesia, khususnya pada penghujung abad ke dua puluh yang meliputi sebab, arah, masalah dan kesannya. The scope of this study covers in particular the study on the revised curriculum of the National Secondary Religious Schools of Malaysia (SMKA) and the State Religious Secondary Schools of Indonesia (MAN) for the purpose of identifYing dualistic and dichotomic systems which are still in existence toward the end of the century. The objectives of this research are: i. To study the characteristics of the development of religious schools, Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Agama (SlvfKA) and Madrasah Aliyah Negeri (MAN) as the refonned altentatives of Islamic education during the twentieth century. ii. To identify the differences and similarities in the reformations of the Islamic educational curTiculum that have been undertaken in Malaysia and Indonesia specifically towards the end of the twentieth century. This pertains to the causes, directions, problems and impacts of the reformations.
