    Abstract

    Artikel ini memaparkan hasil kajian tentang agenda pembangunan di universiti awam di Malaysia serta variasi antara universiti dalam tindak-tanduk mereka melaksanakan agenda pembangunan. Kajian bersandarkan teori pembangunan pusatpinggiran dan teori pembelajaran organisasi. Kajian menggunakan soal selidik tinjauan dan melibatkan seramai 715 orang responden yang terdiri daripada pengurusan tertinggi universiti dan fakulti di 10 buah universiti awam. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahawa agenda yang sangat diutamakan ialah pengajaran dan pembelajaran yang berkualiti, pembangunan program pasca ijazah, kecemerlangan akademik, promosi program pasca ijazah dan program kebajikan pelajar, dan kualiti pengurusan universiti.
