Abstract
Kajian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji kesan kepimpinan pengagihan instruksional pengetua terhadap sikap optimistik akademik guru dan kesedaran organisasi sekolah serta mengkaji kesan kesejahteraan organisasi sekolah sebagai mediator dan tanggapan sokongan organisasi sebagai moderator dalam hubungan antara variabel tersebut. Kajian ini juga bertujuan mengenal pasti tahap antara variabel kajian. Data bagi kajian keratan rentas ini dikutip daripada 1043 orang guru dari 210 buah sekolah menengah biasa di negeri Perak, Pulau Pinang, Kedah dan Perlis menggunakan teknik persampelan secara rawak berstrata berkadaran. Data diperoleh melalui soal selidik dwibahasa yang terbahagi kepada enam bahagian iaitu demografi responden, sikap optimistik akademik guru, kesedaran organisasi sekolah, kepimpinan pengagihan instruksional, kesejahteraan organisasi sekolah dan tanggapan sokongan organisasi. Data yang dikutip dianalisis berdasarkan unit analisis sekolah dan menggunakan perisian SPSS versi 18.0. Pengujian hipotesis dilakukan dengan prosedur regresi linear, regresi berganda dan regresi berganda berhierarki.
The purpose of this research was to investigate the effects of distributed instructional leadership of the school principals on teachers’ academic optimism and school mindfulness as well as to examine the role of organizational health as mediator and the role of perceived organizational support as moderator in the relationship between the variables. The research was carried out to identify the level of the variables. The data for this cross-sectional research was collected from 1043 teachers from 210 ordinary secondary schools in Perak, Penang, Kedah and Perlis by applying proportionate stratified random sampling method. The data was collected using a set of bilingual questionnaires comprises demographic charateristics, teachers’ academic optimism, school mindfulness, distributed instructional leadership, organizational health and perceived organizational support. The collected data were analyzed by using school as unit of analysis and SPSS version 18.0 was utilized to analyze the collected data. The hypothesis was tested using linear regression, multiple regression and multiple hierarchical regression.
