Abstract

Kajian ini mengenai hubungan kuasa antara etnik Lampung dengan migran Jawa serta pihak pemerintah Indonesia yang dilihat melalui peminggiran tanah dan peminggiran kuasa, yang menyebabkan melestarikan semula identiti golongan etnik Lampung. Objektif kajian ini mengkaji makna tanah untuk golongan etnik Lampung, untuk memahami kekaitan antara membina identiti semula, peminggiran tanah dan perubahan makna tanah. Penyelidikan ini berkaitan dengan teori kuasa, teori identiti, teori konflik, teori peminggiran, teori patron-client, dan teori involusi pertanian. Metod penyelidikan ini adalah kualitatif, dengan pendekatan etnografi. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan pemerhatian berperanserta dan temubual mendalam. Dapatan kajian ini, tanah bermakna kesejahteraan, kekayaan dan kemakmuran. Peminggiran tanah berlaku sebagai sebuah proses sosial-budaya dimana budaya Nemui-Nyimah (ramah kepada tamu) telah melemahkan golongan etnik ini. This study is about the power relationship between Lampung ethnic and Javanese migrants as well as the government in Indonesia seen through the land and power marginalization, which led to the preservation of its ethnic identity. The objective of this study is to examine the significance of land for Lampung ethnic group, to understand the relationship between identity, marginalization of land and the change of the meaning attached to the land. This research is connected to the theory of power, theory of identity, the theory of conflict, theory of marginalization, the theory of patron-client, and the theory of agricultural involution. The method of this research is qualitative ethnographic approach. The data collection is done by observation and in-depth interview. This study found that land means wealth and prosperity. The marginalization of land serves as a socio-cultural process in which the culture Nemui-Nyimah (hospitality to the guests) has weakened this ethnic group.
