Abstract

Nef is an accessory protein of HIV-1 virus, which plays a critical role in the pathogenesis of AIDS. Nef augmer the HIV infection by dysregulating the immune system of the infected human(s). Nef is present on the surface of the infected cells and it is also secreted in exosomes (Nef-exosomes) into intracellular spaces.
