Abstract
Fokus utama kajian ini adalah untuk menyiasat sama ada kaedah teks naratif,
teks ekspositori, dan kesedaran strategi membaca memberi kesan terhadap prestasi
kefahaman bacaan. Sebanyak 31 orang pelajar sekolah menengah di sebuah sekolah
Iraq di Kuala Lumpur menyertai kajian ini. Sekolah tersebut dipilih kerana ia terletak
bawah bidang kuasa Kementerian Pendidikan Iraq.
The main focus of this study is to investigate how narrative and expository
texts and the awareness of reading strategies affect the performance of reading
comprehension. Thirty first-stage secondary students studying at the Iraqi school in
Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, took part in this survey.
