Abstract
Kajian ini bertujuan untuk meninjau apakah amalan perhubungan awam pada
hotel-hotel di Jakarta-Indonesia telah mengikut konsep-konsep perhubungan awam yang
sedia ada dan bagaimana masing-masing pengamal perhubungan awam menjalankan
tugas dan tanggungjawab, fungsi, serta peranan mereka. Kajian ini menganalisa
pandangan pengamal-pengamal perhubungan awam dan Ketua PERHUMAS tentang
perkembangan perhubungan awam di Indonesia, khasnya dalam industri perhotelan.
Kaedah yang digunakan dalam kajian ini ialah temu bual dengan subjek kajian dan
analisis bahan-bahan bercetak yang diterbitkan hotel-hotel kajian.
The main objective of the study was to look at practice of public relations at hotels
in Jakarta-Indonesia. This was to specify whether the public relations practitioners at the
hotels are practicing public relations as suggested by the expert of the fields. This study
analyzed the opinion of the public relations practitioners and that of the president of
PERHUMAS with regard to the development of public relations in Indonesia especially in
hotels industry. The methodology used to obtain the opinion of the research subjects was
structured interview and secondary analysis of the publications published by the hotels.
