Abstract

The protein tyrosine kinase and Epidermal Growth Factor Receptor have been linked to the progression and pathogenesis of cancer. An example of protein tyrosine kinase's inhibitor, erlotinib (currently in phase III clinical trials as an anticancer drug), has been shown to succesfully inhibit the progression of cancer cells.
