Abstract

In respect to global issues of sustainable energy and reduction in greenhouse gases, renewable energy is getting increased attention as a potential source of energy. According to the World Energy Assessment report, 14% of the world's primary energy consumption is contributed by renewable sources (out of which biomass contributes 9.5%).
