Abstract

The purpose of this research is to develop a low cost data acquisition system. Microcontroller 8051 has been used to control the process of reading data from sensors and transfer the data to Pc. 8051 is a low cost 8 bit microcontroller with 4Kbytes ROM, 128 bytes RAM, 32 I/O pins, 1 serial port and 6 interrupts source is suitable for simple application.
