    Abstract

    Vibration of brake components when excessive resulted in noise and this influence the perceived quality from the driver point of view and also a form of noise pollution. Brake noise can be categorized into three major categories depending on the frequencies. The low frequency noise is caused by the friction material excitation at the rotor and lining interface that is transmitted through the brake caIiper and couples with other chassis component.
